ORDINANCE NO. 18856
AN ORDINANCE introduced by City Manager Norton N. Bonaparte, Jr., authorizing Improvement Project No. 30274-00, which provides for restrooms at Gage Park and Oakland Park, as more specifically described herein, all pursuant to Section A12-1 of the Code of the City of Topeka.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TOPEKA, KANSAS:
Section 1. That it is hereby deemed advisable and necessary and is also hereby authorized, pursuant to Section A12-1 of the Code of the City of Topeka that the following public improvement be made:
A. GENERAL NATURE OF IMPROVEMENT:
This project will provide the construction of restrooms in Gage Park and Oakland Park. The Gage restroom will be located adjacent to the horseshoe courts. This facility will also serve two open-air shelters, a play structure and the Hills Bark Park. The restroom in Oakland Park will replace an existing restroom. This restroom will service the baseball fields, The Mouse Trap Skate Park, and a tot play structure. Both restrooms will be prefab structures. Utilities extension, demolition of existing restroom, and connective sidewalks are included in this project. All funds will be used for construction. The design work will be completed by the Parks and Recreation Department.
TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET COST:
$212,000.00
C. SOURCE OF FUNDS:
General Obligation Bonds or
any other lawfully available funds $212,000.00
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approval and publication in the official city newspaper.
